Types of Research....

There are several types of research are classified by:
1. Application
2. Objective
3. This type of information sought.

From the application point of view there are two types of research that is pure research and applied research. Pure research is research aimed at the development of science. Penelitain purely aims to develop a theory or finding new theories. While the definition of applied research is research whose results can be directly applied to solve the problem at hand.

In the case of information being managed, the research can be divided into two types of qualitative and quantitative research. Quantitative research is research that information or data that is managed by the statistics. The hypothesis tested in quantitative studies using statistical techniques. If the information collected from this study can not be tested with a statistic called qualitative research studies. Classification of the purpose of the study is based on research performed are:

1. Provide an overview (descriptive research)
2. Shows the relationship (correlation studies)
3. Show causality (experimental research)

Descriptive research (descriptive research) is a type of research that provide an overview or description of the situation as clearly as possible without any treatment of the studied object. Descriptive research has the following characteristics:

1. Dealing with the circumstances that occurred at that time.
2. Describe one variable or several variables but only described one by one.
